Cheer 21/Spectronics Cheerleading Competition

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) – The Cheer 21/Spectronics competition was held on October 3rd in Mobile. The competition hosted competitors from around the region and the level of competitiveness did not disappoint.

The categories included junior high, junior varsity and varsity squads for both building and non-building.

Grand Bay Middle finished first among the junior high competitors and finishing second was Callaway Smith Middle. Mae Eans Middle was third.

In the junior high building category, Fairhope Middle finished first followed by Spanish Fort Middle and in third was Covenant Christian.

Vigor High School finished in first place in the junior varsity category.st. In the varsity non-building category the competition was fierce. Baker High School finished first with a spectacular performance. In second place was Cottage Hill Christian and third place was earned by Blount High School. Forth was Vigor High School and in fifth place was Fruitdale High School.

In the varsity building competition George County High School finished first. In second place was St. Paul’s and in third place was Laurel Hill High School.
