ARKANSAS STATE HEADED TO GODADDY.COM BOWL

Mobile, AL- GoDaddy.com Bowl officials announced today that Sun Belt Champion Arkansas State University (9-2, 7-0) has accepted an invitation to play in the 2012 GoDaddy.com Bowl game being held on Sunday, January 8, 2012, in Mobile, Alabama.

The bowl is the first for Arkansas State since the 2005 New Orleans Bowl. Red Wolves head coach Hugh Freeze accepted the invitation from GoDaddy.com Bowl officials in the locker room following ASU’s win over Middle Tennessee. With Saturday’s victory over the Blue Raiders, ASU improved to a perfect 7-0 in Sun Belt Conference action and 9-2 overall on the season.
