NCAA Youth Football Clinic Huge Success
MOBILE, AL. – (June 17, 2013) On Saturday, June 15th almost 400 boys and girls ages 5 – 14 participated in the NCAA Football Youth Clinic hosted by the GoDaddy Bowl at Municipal Park.
University of South Alabama head football coach Joey Jones and his staff, along with local high school football coaches and volunteers, instructed boys and girls on football fundamentals, safety and character development. Municipal Park volunteers, board members and bowl staff were on hand to assist with registration, passing out goodies and organizing food for all participants. Dick’s Sporting Goods provided coupons to coaches and participants for equipment and Chik-Fil-A and Godfather’s Pizza supplied food for the coaches and kids. The clinic provided the kids with the opportunity to run offensive, defensive and agility drills; learn proper techniques to promote on-field football safety; and learn about the importance of character development and good sportsmanship.
