GoDaddy Bowl Ready To Set Sail

Mobile, Ala. (Oct. 30, 2014)- The 12th Annual GoDaddy Bowl Regatta will be contested Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at the Fairhope Yacht Club and will showcase the release of the new GoDaddy Bowl logo in conjunction with the race. All registered boats set sail at 12:30 p.m.

The competition is open to juniors and to all boats 19 feet and greater. The junior classes will be: 420, Laser Radial and Opti RWBG with 3 boats constituting a class. In addition to the junior classes, sailboats 19 feet and greater will race in PHRF and Portsmouth spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes.

“We are excited to kick off our fall season of events not only with these races but with a brand new look,” said GoDaddy Bowl Executive Director Frank Modarelli. “We enjoy our relationship with the Fairhope Yacht Club and the connection to the Gulf Coast sailing community.”

First, second and third place plaques and GoDaddy Bowl tickets will be awarded to winning boats.

Registration for the GoDaddy Bowl Regatta will be held at the Fairhope Yacht Club, 101 Volanta Avenue, Fairhope, AL from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 1 2014, followed by the skippers’ meeting at 11:00 a.m.

Registration fee for United States Sailing Association (USSA) members is $40.00, non-USSA members $45.00. Junior Classes is $25.00 USSA, $30.00 non-USSA. Yacht club membership is not required. For more information, call the Fairhope Yacht Club at 251-928-3276 or visit www.FairhopeYachtClub.com.
