Dollar General Bowl Will Implement Clear Bag Policy For Game on December 23.

MOBILE, ALA. (Nov. 28, 2017) – In an effort to improve fan safety and efficiency of entry into Ladd-Peebles Stadium, the Dollar General Bowl is implementing a clear bag policy for the bowl game on December 23, 2017.

This policy will limit the types and sizes of bags permitted to enter the stadium, but is not a restriction on any items fans have brought into the stadium in the past. Limiting the size and style of bags carried into the stadium will aid in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Only clear tote bags 12” x 6” x 12” or smaller, one-gallon plastic freezer bags or small handheld clutch purses no larger than 4 ½” x 6 ½” will be allowed in Ladd-Peebles Stadium for the Dollar General Bowl game. Prohibited bags include but are not limited to purses, backpacks, diaper bags, binocular cases, camera cases, fanny packs, luggage, any bag larger than the permissible size, and any bag that is not clear. Guests with necessary medical items or equipment will be allowed to enter the stadium with proper inspection.

Fans will continue to be able to enjoy their tailgate activities in the parking lot and to do so with greater safety and the knowledge that their entry into the stadium will be smoother and faster. They also will continue to be able to carry items allowed into the stadium, such as binoculars, cameras, and smart phones.

The clear bag policy is standard at all National Football League stadiums across the country, and has been implemented by numerous NCAA institutions.
