Teams Tour Airbus Mobile

MOBILE – A tour of Airbus Mobile and practice for both teams were the highlights on Wednesday as LendingTree Bowl week continues.

Eastern Michigan and Liberty student-athletes got a tour of Airbus Mobile, an assembly site for Airbus’ Commercial Airplanes division. The site is the major assembly and delivery site for Airbus commercial aircraft in the United States.

The site will serve as one of four final assembly and delivery points for the Airbus A320 family and one of two final assembly and delivery points for the Airbus A220.

Eastern Michigan and Liberty both had lunch at 23 East, located in the Brookley Warehouse district. The teams returned Wednesday evening for Game Show Night.

Both teams hit the practice field for the first time in Mobile. Eastern Michigan held a two-hour practice at UMS Wright. Liberty had a two-hour workout at Saraland.

Eastern Michigan and Liberty meet in the 23rd Lending Tree Bowl this Saturday, Dec. 18 at Hancock Whitney Stadium. The game will be televised by ESPN and kickoff is 4:45 p.m.
