October 3rd, C Spire 1st & 10 Club Meeting _ Post meeting notes.
The LTB kicked off the C Spire 1st & 10 Club annual series of meetings with University of South Alabama Head Football Coach Kane Wommack as the keynote speaker last night on Oct. 3rd at Moe’s Original BBQ. The jaguars are off to a 4-1 start in Wommack’s second season. Wommack stated “It’s a tremendous feeling to be a jag right now”. Wommack attributed his team’s success and consistency to the team’s high standard and hard work. Wommack said, “We are beating people on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday practice, and then Saturday is the outcome we all see”.
Wommack has instilled a higher standard by creating an environment of accountability and sense of community. He guides this with his teachings and the team moto “#LEO, Love Each Other”. The moto is a mantra geared toward driving the player to look out for the best interest of others and teaching them that their actions have consequences that affect others.
