BOWL WEEK EVENT SPOTLIGHT: PARADE & PEP RALLY
The 24th annual LendingTree Bowl game will be a fun-filled night that fans do not want to miss. The night will consist of three events open to the public. To kick off the night, Greer’s Market/This is Alabama, will host the first Mardi Gras parade of the season. Fans are invited to continue the party by attending the Bowl teams’ official pep rallies and street party.
Greer’s Market/ This is Alabama Mardi Gras Parade
“Hey mister, throw me some beads!” will be heard through the streets of downtown Mobile as the “Greer’s Market/ This is Alabama Mardi Gras Parade” takes place on December 16 at 6:30PM. This public event will have the streets of downtown filled with moon pies, music, and more when the LendingTree Bowl presents the largest Mardi Gras parade of the year. The parade will roll out with decorated floats from 20 mystical societies and local high school marching bands. The Bowl teams’ bands and cheerleaders will also perform during the parade.
“This is Alabama Pep Rally”
Following the parade, fans are invited to attend the “This is Alabama Pep Rally.” Both participating universities will hold their pep rallies on east and west Joachim Street in downtown Mobile. Featured performances from the teams’ cheerleaders and marching bands will take place in a battle of the bands atmosphere that will continue to entertain guests.
