C SPIRE 1st & 10 CLUB KICKS OFF AUGUST 21ST WITH SOUTH ALABAMA’S KANE WOMMACK
Mobile, Ala. – (Aug. 17, 2023) The C Spire 1st & 10 Club will kick-off the college football season and the club’s series of meetings with the University of South Alabama Head Football Coach Kane Wommack at 5:30pm on Monday, August 21st at Moe’s Barbecue located in downtown Mobile.
C Spire has renewed its commitment to the club, which is entering its 24th season. This season’s full speaker schedule is as follows:
Monday, Aug. 21, 2023 Kane Womack, University of South Alabama Head Football Coach
Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 Jim Donnan, University of Georgia FMR Head Football Coach
Monday, Oct. 2, 2023 Hugh Freeze, Auburn University Head Football Coach
Monday, Oct. 23, 2023 Dereck Dooley, University of Alabama Football Analyst
The club’s annual supporters’ fee is $100 for access to all four meetings with dinner included. Proceeds from the club help fund the organization’s scholarship program.
In addition to an exciting speaker list, the C Spire 1st & 10 Club will honor high school student-athletes and a Team Focus member of the month. Student-athletes are selected from Mobile and Baldwin counties for their outstanding performance on the field, in the classroom and in the community.
Team Focus members are selected based on their academics, performance, and leadership both in Team Focus and the community. The mission of Team Focus, Inc. is to provide a year-round program of support, encouragement and Godly values that foster the development of life skills in young men (ages 10-18) without a father figure in their lives, bridge the father gap and support the family structure. Team Focus winners are eligible for one of several scholarships offered by the Club.
