ESPN ANNOUNCES BROADCAST TEAM FOR 25TH ANNUAL 68 VENTURES BOWL
Mobile native Taylor Zarzour will be partnered with Matt Stinchcomb and Alyssa Lang
MOBILE, Ala. – ESPN announced the commentator teams for its lineup of games during College Football Bowl Season, with one of the top SEC broadcasting trios coming to Mobile for the 25th Annual 68 Ventures Bowl.
Mobile native Taylor Zarzour will serve as the play-by-play voice for the December 23 broadcast of Eastern Michigan and South Alabama at Hancock Whitney Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. CST.
Zarzour will be joined in the booth by analyst Matt Stinchcomb and sideline reporter Alyssa Lang. Stinchcomb will be calling his third game in Mobile after witnessing the 2017 and 2022 contests, while Lang was part of last year’s contest.
Zarzour grew up in Mobile and graduated from Huntingdon College before starting his career at WEAR-TV Channel 3 in Pensacola, Fla. He later returned to Mobile where he served as the Program Director and Afternoon Host for Sports Radio 105.5 WNSP. In addition to his work with college football and baseball on ESPN, he is the radio voice for golf major championships.
Stinchcomb joined ESPN in June 2009 as a college football analyst and teams with Zarzour and Lang to call afternoon games on the SEC Network. He was a 2-time All-America offensive lineman at Georgia and played in 65 games in the NFL for Oakland and Tampa Bay from 1999-2005. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
Lang has been a host, anchor and sideline reporter for SEC Network and ESPN since 2018. She has previously worked for television stations in Charlotte, Columbia, S.C. and Jacksonville, Fla. She graduated from South Carolina in 2015.
This marks the 25th season that ESPN has televised the 68 Ventures Bowl. The game returns to its familiar primetime kickoff slot for the first time since 2019 after three years of early-to-mid-afternoon starts.
