Mobile, Ala. (March 22, 2025) – Saturday, March 22, aspiring soccer athletes in grades K5 through 8th grade from the greater Mobile area attended a youth soccer clinic presented by the 68 Ventures Bowl and Spring Hill College Soccer, a free half-day clinic of drills, and training at the Mobile County Sports Complex.
The participants had the opportunity to meet and work with the men’s and women’s Spring Hill College players and coaches. During the clinic, athletes ran offensive, defensive and agility drills’; learned proper techniques to promote on-field safety; and learned about the importance of character development and good sportsmanship. The morning started with a motivational talk by Spring Hill Soccer Coach Samantha Thomsit welcoming all the kids to the soccer clinic.
The clinic was held at the Mobile County Sports Complex from 9:30 am – 11:30 am. The Bowl provided each participant with a soccer ball and a box lunch. Coca Cola provided Dasani and Powerade products to ensure the participants stayed hydrated for the day.
This year, the 68 Ventures Bowl celebrates its 27th year with the game date yet to be set, but to take place in December 2025 and televised nationally on ESPN. Played at Hancock Whitney Stadium where top-selected teams from the Sun Belt Conference and Conference USA will face off.
