27TH 68 VENTURES BOWL MATCHUP SET WITH LOUISIANA AND DELAWARE
The Dec. 17 game will be televised by ESPN at 7:30 p.m. Central Time
MOBILE, Ala. – The 27th 68 Ventures Bowl will feature a matchup of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the University of Delaware following an announcement by the bowl committee on Saturday.
The Ragin’ Cajuns and Blue Hens will meet at Hancock Whitney Stadium on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. CST. The game will be televised on ESPN.
Ticket prices start at $15 with a total of six different pricing locations throughout the stadium available for purchase. Tickets and parking are available at 68VenturesBowl.com.
“We are thrilled to welcome back Louisiana and host Delaware in its first-ever bowl appearance,” said 68 Ventures Bowl President Jerry Silverstein. “The city of Mobile always puts on a first-class experience in what promises to be an action-packed matchup between these two opponents.”
Louisiana went 6-6 in the regular season and 5-3 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Ragin’ Cajuns won their last four games to secure their second-consecutive bowl appearance.
This will be Louisiana’s Sun Belt Conference-leading eighth consecutive bowl trip, second appearance in the 68 Ventures Bowl and 15th overall. The program is 6-6 all-time in bowl games, including a 27-17 win over Miami (Ohio) in the 2019 Lending Tree Bowl.
“The Ragin’ Cajuns are extremely excited to participate in the 68 Ventures Bowl,” Louisiana Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard said. “The bowl experience in Mobile, Alabama is second to none and we are very excited to compete against the University of Delaware.”
“We are incredibly excited to be playing in the 68 Ventures Bowl in Mobile,” Louisiana head coach Michael Desormeaux said. “Our team has worked hard to earn a postseason opportunity, and it makes it even better that it is in such a great location. Mobile was great to us the last time we played in their bowl game, and we look forward to their hospitality again.”
Delaware went 6-6 in 2025 – it’s first season as a Football Bowl Subdivision member – and 4-4 in Conference USA. NCAA rules prohibit teams transitioning to the FBS level from playing in bowl games unless they have six victories and there aren’t enough bowl-eligible teams available. The Blue Hens were able to gain eligibility following the last game of the regular season.
UD is in the postseason for the 25th time. The Blue Hens made 24 NCAA I-AA/FCS tournament appearances from 1980-2024.
“We are thrilled to be participating in the 68 Ventures Bowl in Mobile, Alabama,” UD Athletics Director Jordan Skolnick said. “Thank you to Jerry Silverstein and everyone involved with the bowl for the invitation. We are excited to represent Conference USA in our first of many FBS bowl games!”
“We are beyond excited to head to Mobile to play in the 68 Ventures Bowl,” UD Head Coach Ryan Carty said. “Being able to represent Conference USA and the University of Delaware in our first-ever FBS bowl berth is extremely special.”
This will be the first ever meeting on the gridiron between the two schools.
