68 VENTURES BOWL CONTINUES TO GIVE BACK TO GULF COAST COMMUNITIES

Title sponsor 68 Ventures is donating $40,000 to local charitable organizations

MOBILE, Ala. – Over the last 10 months, the 68 Ventures Bowl has conducted numerous community events across the Gulf Coast of Alabama and Northwest Florida.

As part of the 68 Ventures Bowl community outreach, title sponsor 68 Ventures is donating $40,000 to four local non-profit organizations – the Dream Center of Baldwin County, Ransome Solutions, Project Success at Pine Grove Elementary School – Baldwin County Board of Education, and For the Children of Milton.

Since its inception in 1999, the bowl has continued its commitment to providing opportunities throughout the community and enhancing the way of life for the people of Mobile and the surrounding region.

“My dad has always said that if you can help someone then you are supposed to,” 68 Ventures Founder and Chairman Nathan Cox said. “Along the way, we have been blessed as a family and an organization to be connected with many amazing and selfless people that always put others ahead of themselves. This year, we are thankful to be able to honor four incredible organizations that are impacting our community generationally. I know my life is better because they are in it.”

·       The Dream Center is in Foley, Alabama and serves all of Baldwin County, where disadvantaged youth aged 12-18 can begin to rebuild and transform their lives with the help of caring mentors and educators.

·       The mission of Ransom Solutions is to empower individuals who have experienced homelessness, addiction, and/or incarceration, to provide innovative solutions for community issues, and to conserve our environment for future generations. After 90 days on the job, participants have the option of becoming a trainee at Ransom Solutions and continuing in our programs. All of the projects and programs are designed to enable Ransom Solutions to fulfill their mission.

·       Pine Grove Elementary School’s Project Success program encourages academic growth and good classroom behavior for general education students. Project Success was put in place as an alternative to suspension from school to help students grow academically.

·       For the Children of Milton, located in Milton, Florida, provides a Christian environment to children in need of love, kindness, and a safe place to live. A home fostered with compassion, that will promote a stronger and successful generation for years to come.

The bowl’s focus continues to build on the game’s mission to showcase the city of Mobile, advance tourism and economic impact, provide educational and athletic opportunities to the youth of Mobile, while providing a cultural and exceptional bowl experience to collegiate student-athletes, administrators and fans.

That will culminate with Monday’s 68 Ventures Bowl Community Service Day where student-athletes from Arkansas State and Bowling Green visit four locations across the area – Feeding the Gulf Coast, Mulherin Home, Children’s & Women’s Hospital and Prodisee Pantry.

The 26th annual 68 Ventures Bowl will kick off at 8:00 pm, on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024 at Hancock Whitney Stadium. For more information about tickets, bowl week events, and other 68 Ventures Bowl news, visit www.68venturesbowl.com
