LOCAL YOUTH PARTICIPATE IN 2nd ANNUAL 68 VENTURES BOWL GOLF CLINIC
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – MOBILE, Ala (June 12, 2026) – On Friday, June 12, boys and girls in third through eighth grades participated in the second annual 68 Ventures Bowl Youth Golf Clinic, held in partnership with Topgolf Mobile. The free clinic offered local youth a valuable opportunity to learn the fundamentals of golf in an engaging and supportive environment.
Participants received instruction from the golf coaching staffs from the University of Mobile and Spring Hill College, along with local PGA professionals. Throughout the morning, attendees were introduced to swing mechanics, proper technique, and basic strategy, helping both beginners and experienced young golfers further develop their skills.
โWell, it was a fun day. The kids we had learned a little bit so they were hitting the balls pretty good,โ said Coach TJ Jackson of Spring Hill College. He went on to say, “you could see the concentration… which was really neat to see.”
The clinic aimed to introduce the game to children who may not otherwise have access to golf, while also supporting skill development for those already familiar with the sport. In addition to expert instruction, each participant received a 68 Ventures Bowl cooling towel, a complimentary round of miniature golf at Topgolf, and lunch provided by the 68 Ventures Bowl.
University of Mobile Head Golf Coach Kyra Plotner said โI think this was a great opportunity for kids that may not have had a chance to experience playing golf to come play in a fun environment and see if the enjoy it.โ
The clinic ran from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and marked another successful installment of the annual event, celebrating youth development and community engagement through sport.
