2018 lunch with Saints Hall Of Fame Quarterback Archie Manning

A 13-year NFL veteran, Manning was drafted to the New Orleans Saints as the second pick in the 1971 NFL Draft. During his 11 seasons with the Saints, Manning passed for 21,734 yards, 115 touchdowns and was a two time Pro Bowl selection during the 1978 and 1979 seasons. After his Saints career, Manning spent two seasons with the Houston Oilers and two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before retiring in 1984.
After his retirement, Manning received a multitude of honors including being inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame and Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 1988, the College Football Hall of Fame in 1989 and the Saints Ring of Honor in 2013.
Prior to his NFL career, Manning was the starting quarterback at the University of Mississippi for three years and played shortstop on the baseball team. Manning was named the SEC Player of the Year in 1969 and was awarded the Walter Camp Memorial Trophy that same year. In 1969 and 1970 Manning was named to the All-SEC teams and was a Heisman Trophy Finalist.
Manning currently resides in New Orleans, Louisiana where he is an active member of the community. His activities include the New Orleans Area Boy Scout Council, the Salvation Army and the Louisiana Special Olympics. Manning is married to Olivia Manning and they have three sons: Cooper, Peyton and Eli.
